Help shape what we write next.
In which Jill hands the "leash" to you.
A year ago, we moved Jill’s Dog Blog off our website and onto Substack. We made that decision for one reason: to reach more people and build a real audience around this work. And it’s working.
Over the past year, the blog has grown 22% in subscribers and roughly 2,500% in total views. More people are reading. More people are engaging. And more people are understanding what’s actually happening in rescue and in shelters. That was the whole point.
We’ve written about animal rescue, shelter reform, fostering, and the dogs themselves. Some posts go deep into what’s broken. Some are more practical. Some are just about a single dog and how things turned out.
Now we want to hear from you. We put together a short survey — it should take 1-2 minutes. We’re asking about what’s been most useful, what you want more of, and what’s actually stuck with you.
We’ll read every response. This isn’t about changing direction. It’s about getting sharper on what matters.
Thank you for being here this past year. 🧡🫶🐕
